Member Spotlight: Pat Marshall
At Your Service Office Solutions
After a 28-year career as an administrative assistant with the Mount Clemens Police Department, Pat Marshall wasn’t ready to slow down; instead, she was ready for her next chapter.
Following business coursework and extensive research, she took the leap into entrepreneurship. In 2005, she launched At Your Service Office Solutions, a virtual assistant company that provides timely, high-quality and affordable administrative support to help businesses operate more efficiently.
As a new business owner, Pat immersed herself in professional and community organizations, including the Michigan Women’s Business Council and the National Association of Women Business Owners. Her involvement, along with her connection to the City of Mount Clemens and involvement with the Downtown Development Authority, eventually led her to the Macomb County Chamber in 2007.
“I knew about the Chamber through my involvement with the City of Mount Clemens,” said Pat. “Grace Shore, former president and CEO of the Macomb County Chamber, encouraged me to get involved. I joined in 2007 and became very active. You name the committee, and I’ve probably served on it.”
Over the years, Pat has served as a Chamber Ambassador, attending ribbon cuttings and recruiting new members. She has also held leadership and committee roles with the LEADS Group, the ATHENA Awards, the Golf Outing, the Governors Luncheon, Membership and Networking, and the Women in Business and Political Hot Topics committees.
Her commitment to growing the Chamber’s membership and supporting its initiatives earned her the title of Member of the Year in 2008, a testament to her dedication and enthusiasm.
Nearly two decades later, Pat remains an engaged and visible presence at major Chamber events, including the Annual Meeting, Economic Forecast, ATHENA Awards, Hall of Fame,Golf Outing and State of the City addresses.
For Pat, the Chamber has been more than a networking tool; it’s been a business builder and a community connector.
“Many of my clients have come through the Chamber,” she says. “I get to know my clients and often use their services as well. If I need something, I go to the Chamber or ask another member for a referral.”
For small businesses looking to grow in Macomb County, Pat offers the following advice:
“Join the Chamber and get involved. Introduce yourself. That’s how you grow your business. The marketing tools, referrals, educational seminars, networking opportunities and special events have been invaluable in moving my business forward. My partnership with the Chamber has been a win for me, creating meaningful connections throughout the community and the county.”
