Member Spotlight: Litho Printing & Graphics

For nearly six decades, Litho Printing & Graphics has delivered affordable, fast and custom printing services across Macomb County.

The company was founded in 1966 by Walter and Carole Heid from the basement of their Eastpointe home and has grown into a full-service, high-tech print shop operating from the same Gratiot Avenue location it has proudly called home for decades. Today, Litho Printing & Graphics is led by third-generation printer Dale Heid, the current owner and president, who continues to uphold the family business’s high-quality standards.

“We offer our customers amazing quality and a full spectrum of printing services and the best pricing in the tri-county area, because we do our own work in-house,” Dale said.

Litho produces materials ranging from letterhead, stationery and business cards to brochures, flyers, banners, stickers and more. The company serves a wide range of customers, from local small businesses and nonprofits to churches, medical offices and funeral homes, providing both traditional print products and modern design services to meet evolving marketing needs.

While the fundamentals of printing have remained the same, the technology behind the industry has changed dramatically. Dale has seen the move from traditional ink presses to digital printing over the past decade, which has increased both efficiency and turnaround time.

“Jobs that took a week to 10 days can now be done much faster,” he shared, adding that today’s customers are more price-conscious and expect faster results, demands Litho has successfully adapted to meet.

A graduate of Chippewa Valley High School, Dale ran the school’s print shop before earning a scholarship to Ferris State University to study printing and printing management. This training led him right back into the family business, where he remains passionate about the craft today.

Looking ahead, Litho Printing & Graphics is focused on continued growth by serving new clients and expanding into new markets. “We’re always looking for new customers and new opportunities to support businesses through quality printing,” Dale said.

Dale has been an active member of the Macomb County Chamber for more than 20 years, dating back to the Chamber’s days in Warren. He regularly participates in Coffee Connections networking events and is involved in a LEADS group, both of which have helped him connect with fellow business owners across the region.

“The Chamber has really helped me meet more people and learn from professionals in different industries,” he explained. “Being involved keeps you visible in the community, and that matters.”

For fellow entrepreneurs and new businesses just starting in Macomb County, Dale offers simple advice:

“Join a chamber and get involved, you’ll meet new customers and help strengthen the community at the same time.”
