Chamber efforts result in Lockheed Martin visit

The Macomb County Chamber of Commerce recently initiated a partnership among the Macomb Department of Planning & Economic Development, Macomb Community College, Macomb Regional PTAC and Pure Michigan resulting in Lockheed Martin’s supplier diversity procurement team scheduling a visit to Macomb this May.  The purpose of their visit is to help connect Lockheed Martin with qualified cost-competitive Michigan companies that can fulfill some of their most pressing needs.

The 2017 Lockheed Martin Supplier Matchmaker is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, at the Macomb University Center.  Lockheed Martin has provided the planning team with more than 30 sourcing needs in hopes of connecting with diverse companies in Macomb County and throughout Michigan.  Macomb County businesses, small businesses, diverse businesses and other suppliers will have the opportunity to apply to meet with Lockheed Martin’s purchasing divisions looking to procure items from four general categories:  environmental, information technology, manufacturing and services.

To be considered for an opportunity to attend the summit, please complete the application by March 31.  The information you enter into the application will not be altered before it is passed along, so please ensure all your company and contact information is correct and y our capabilities are accurately represented.  This initiative will be invitation-only, with invitations being extended by Lockheed Martin after careful review of application materials.
