Reinventing Macomb Event Informs and Connects

This week a group of Macomb County Chamber businesses were given the opportunity to hear from elected officials from all levels of government. Congresswoman Candice Miller and Congressman Sander Levin kicked off the event with questions from Bettie Buss, Senior Researcher at Citizens Research Council. They addressed the country’s credit rating, potential jobs bill, and the defense industry in a mix of prepared questions and those from event attendees.

Then the audience heard from Senator Steve Bieda, followed by State Representatives Marilyn Lane and Anthony Forlini who addressed the crowd together in an effort to show the bi partisan work that is being done in Lansing.

Sheriff Anthony Wickersham acted as the “official timer” to ensure the elected officials stayed in their time frame. A big thanks to him for that help.
